Start at the top of the frame and give it a really good scrub with the brush, up and down and, although a bit awkward, side-to-side. This is where spotting and milky ness occurs most if not done properly. Then just brush the glass up and down, you'll find you catch the frame sides as you go.

Finally, from the top, give everything a good rinse. Try to get a brush with spray jet nozzles. They give a much better rinse and blast out any dreaded soap residue from previous cleans lurking under seals and corner joints etc.

Hi lee,
some people might disagree but I found the bwca course worth the time and money it explains what happens to the water during the filtration process and how to clean with WFP exactly (as decribed here though to be fair!) I'm three weeks into WFP and its well worth the money and makes a huge difference in the lack of brown trouser moments and an increase in speed!! so I'm hoping more earnings will follow!! good luck

concentrate on the top of the frame first. side to side about 3 or 4 times to dislodge all the cr*p from the frame and then up and down over the whole window twice, overlapping as you go and finish up by rinsing the glass. perfect results every time! spray any bird muck and leave to penetrate while cleaning other windows, go back to it after a short while and it should come off quite easily.

I think it's important to concentrate on the frames on your first WFP clean.  Really take your time and get them spotless.

Subsequent cleans are quick and easy.

But I think the real key is good communication with your customers.

Make sure you download David of St Ives's letter explaining how it all works and why you're using this system.

numptyize it to suit your requirements and ensure each and every single customers gets a copy.  Encourage them to read it too.

I've customers like everyone else here.  Some who think I'm the best thing since sliced bread and others who think I'm a Geordie skiving rogue, who'll steal their lawnmower when their back's turned.  Luckily enought the latter are in the minority.

I've been asked three or four times today how my 'pole thingy' is going by satisfied customers on their 2nd WFP clean.

They're interested because they're well-informed about how it works and why I use it.

And on a final note; one of my pensioners told me today, 'last month when you cleaned my windows with your pole, in the rain, I didn't believe they would come up good.  But they were really clean.  I could hardly believe it.'

She then went on to tell me about a window cleaner who cleans her friends flat in a nice place in Bristol (Frenchay) who fell from his ladders from a first floor window.

He had to be recusitated and flown to hospital via an air-ambulance.  Apparantly he was in a right mess.  But this might have happened in 1974.  The lady telling me is very old.
