I've got £5million public liability insurance but after a recent accident i checked my policy and found that i'm not covered for damage to the building i'm working on. Is this normal?

Yes this is normal.  However, I believe that this somehow translates to "window" being worked on with window cleaners.  Don't ask me how or why.  It was explained to me once but it went over my head.

Yes, that does sound right. My policy says I am covered for everything except for the window I am working on, not the building just window. So if I broke one

 sorry guys pressed wrong button.

I might be tempted to say I hadn't cleaned that window yet, just to see if they would pay up.
