commercial contact
« on: October 30, 2011, 11:39:06 am »
Hi everyone id like to know your thoughts on the best way to contact commercial businesses for work in 2011 is the traditional methods of turning up in your sunday best knocking on those commercial premises or picking up the phone and speaking to the manager/owner the best way to get your foot in the door?
Or this day and age are you guys using social network sites like facebook and linkedin to boost your commercial contacts i thinks that facebook is fantastic for getting new residential customers and ive had great success over the last couple of weeks using facebook with residential customers and the best thing about it is you do a good job and 90% of the time they will post on either youre page or there own page saying what a great job youve done which is brilliant unlike places like google places and other review websites they dont have to register so they havent got to go out of there way to write a review (i find that some people are so worried about putting there details on websites because they think there gonna have there emails hacked or bank details pinched lol theres been to much scaremainering over this its getting a joke) where as with facebook there already on there its so easy for them to reccommend you to all there facebook friends. But how about commercial clients nearly every business that has a premises where they want customers to visit has a facebook page so its easy to contact them on the site. So i havent tried it yet but would like to know if any of you have tried social network sites for getting new commercial customers?

Thanks
