hi guys, just wondered if this is possible and does anyone clean windows in this way, do you spray the window a little to wet it, turn off the flow, scrub the window and then turn back on the flow at a nice rate too rinse ?
can anyone tell me if this works please ?
thanks

Yes it does work and saves a lot of water.

Not really a great method of cleaning each window to be honest.. all this will do is smear the dirt round the window and you will still need the flow switched on for the same amount of time to rinse off not really saving you water plus taking longer on each window....
Fastest way is attacking the frame starting at the top working into the sides with constant flow. The faster this is cleaned the quicker you can scrub n rinse the glass and moved over to the next.

I have done it with zero problems when getting towards the end of the round and needed the stretch out what water I have left.
Not a good idea on first cleans granted but for the regular monthly jobs as long as you final rinse there won't be a problem.

As said not the best method but does work - i have used this style of cleaning when running low on water and
usually saves the day ! - but could get tiresome all day every day !
try high flow and fan jets scrub and rinse almost become one movement

I tend to open the stop tap partly to restrict the flow when washing, then turn it on full to rinse. heard its not good to have the pump going on and off rapidly, but we have the pressure and flow turned down low so pump doesn't cut in and out. doesn't use so much water as being on full. as you say with some water on it helps wash window better.

Or keep going until you run out of water then get the squeegee out
Yes I've never tried these techniques out but on ur standard monthly cleans there won't much dirt to worry about.
