Blackberry Group Texting
« on: October 28, 2011, 03:51:23 pm »
I know Steve CM has a nice method of texting his customers when he is coming but ive just been playing with my blackberry and theres a really simple way of doing this.

Go into your address book, add group, add member (contact)

Ie, if youve named your group "Town" type "town" on main screen, press menu and click SMS Town.

So if youve got a few in there theyll all receive same text.

Simple but effective :)

And watch the replies.

Not today my dog is sick

Not today I'm on the blob

Not today my mothers, brothers, sisters girl friend is sleeping.

Send one way texts, no drama!

I think what Steve means is that if theyve got the chance to reply, they will think of an excuse to save some money,

I dont even know when we are doing our domestics so the customers have got no hope of knowing,

We just turn up at around about the 6 weekly mark and clean.

Very professional :o

ive never had a customer say not today etc.  i dont really know where this reputation of letting a customer know being a bad thing comes from?

I used to do that on my Blackberry, until I got so fed up with the "not today" replies, that I was crying to Steve CM, and he showed me the light.

Rare to get any cancellations now.

Saved me fortunes, and, it's a simple, pain free method.

Also great for marketing... 8)

Being able to schedule texts also is so valuable for me.

When I know I will be away, or out for the night, I schedule the texts in advance so the customers still get their texts and my night or trip isn't interrupted.
