most of the time i use pure clean ,  but on really bad suites i use Hydramasters soil break with good results,  never really got on with fab restorer.  most important thing with uphlstery imo is dwell time

I must get round to labelling my pre-spray bottles am colour blind ultra Pac reddish, power burst/pure clean clear, Multi pro blue’ish also got some others but I make sure the dilutions rate are correct. Got some service master stuff haven’t got round to using it, that I will leave to Jim to comment on

I use solutions HD to good effect on most U/H.
Agitate and dwell and away you go.

Len, I don't use much SM stuff!  What product you got anyway?

Craig, you'll have to find the best solution that suits you, there's no "one size fits all" but the nearest is a colloidal product such as nemesis or m-power.  Because you don't have to extract these products you can spray the whole suite with it, extract the dirtiest bits maybe after over-spraying with something stronger from a trigger spray, then just wipe round the backs & sides with a towel to finish them off

Hi Criag,

I don't think there is a chemical that does them all. As mentioned, Pure Clean, SPM, Fabric Restorer etc are the most obvious ones, but the skill in being a good upholstery cleaner is in your ability to recongnise where different parts of a suite aren't responding well and being able to think through why that may be and knowing which additional product to use to improve it so you get an even colour match across the whole suite. That is why it is important to have a wide range of products to hand so you can deal with any situation.
