Look of the white plastic thing they sell, but once this came out I ordered it and it's brilliant, make life so much easier, awkward windows over conservatorys are some much easier to get to, and i can clean patio doors without bending, absolutely fantastic.

If you are like me and have never used a swivel, get one ASAP

No. The brush swivel is side to side, not up and down.

You "set" the resistance (how tight it swivels) via a little recessed screw on the top. Have it as free or as tight as you like.

The best tension IMO is just enough so that the brush doesn't flop to one side when you lift off but still swivels freely on the glass. A bit of oil on the swivel also helps smooth action.

I just thought the way you controlled the brush was by exerting pressure with brush on the glass. I guess winprocleans answer explains it.

Iv`e been using swivels for years as i was the first one to use them experimenting with different types iv`e used 3 different ones and currently use a simple method that has stood up to everything

If you put your brush on the glass the twist the pole handle, then the brush will swivel live a windscreen wiper, so if you have a window that is over a conservatory, or a window you cannot stand directly under, you can twist the pole, and the brush will swivel and stay parallel with the top of the frame, and will sit flat on the glass.

That's the best I can explain it, winpro has a diagram that he put up on here that will show you exacty what it does.
