Mattress Cleaning Courses
« on: October 20, 2011, 06:38:15 pm »
I know ashbys are doing these type of courses, but they are based in Kent (500 mile round trip)

Does anybody know if there are courses run a little nearer to me.Leeds based.

There's big money in mattresses especially with such a poor interest rates.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

I think the answer is No

But perhaps some enterprising person could do the course in Kent and then Run a similar one up North

Sorry Chris.  :)

If it was the same flyer I got from Derek, I got the impression they had teamed up with some sort of Franchise. In which case I would have thought they would have some sort of representation up north. I noticed they hinted at some new revolutionary product in the same sentence as 'bed bugs'

I got it but felt it was just a product from one of their suppliers which anyone could buy.

I would be upset if I went and then found it was big Sales Pitch and I had to pay for Licence etc.

I remember about 10 years ago John Bolton did a very good Article on how to Clean a Mattress on Clean talk

This was before Ultrasonic Lights Bed Bugs Alerg Stop and John Did not use Pro mite etc.

You have a point but most carpets are just dirty with a small percentage with these problems. On mattresses though you can bet a high proportion have these issues, that's their reason for calling you out.

Some Mattress can be very expensive

I think it is an add on

My concern would always be can it be dried in time for Bed Time

Dont think it's ever been mentioned but I think the best way to get rid of bugs and odours from mattresses would be to leave them in a freezer / cold store over night.............only problem is finding one .

Think you could be right there Robert. I was in Alaska a few years ago and I never saw any bed bugs.

Finding them is the problem.........

Just had a Dragon's Den moment .................it can't be that difficult to have a large thermal bag made which could house a mattress and by introducing frozen gas create a suitable death chamber for  bugs.

There you go and I'll have 10% of all sales for the next 10 years
