Excellent service

We should all post details of good and bad service we receive from suppliers, so we know who to deal with and who to avoid.

Last week- Wednesday I e-mailed Ettore (in Holland as I couldn't find UK info) to complain about a 3 section pole that had broken. Yesterday - Wednesday I received a replacement pole, no questions asked about when purchased etc.
I thought that was excellent servivce.

D ick,

On the face of it, it sounds like a good idea, however a previous Moderator, Philip Hanson had strong views regarding this, and I agree with him.

There's two sides to every story and when someone makes a complaint about a company; it may not always be justified and ligitamate, and the company may not be here to defend itself.

If you have a complaint, you should make it to the company.

However, praise is different.

Soap National, Peter Fogwill and a few others always seem to get good reports on this site and my dealings with both companies back this up.

So praise in public, but complain direct to the supplier.

Brodex sent me a pole which was faulty..needed it pretty quickly as well for a high job. Sean Rimmer personally drove to Liverpool that day and dropped a new one off !!!
Excellent and very much appreciated.

OK, point taken regarding poor service. Levels of service are of course an individual thing, just as our customers see us  in different lights, some good, some bad.
Thanks
