Yeah, I went out a bit later this morning. Parked up outside the first job and the wind and rain were lashing it down. Gave up after ten minutes and came home. Think I might give it a miss until tomorrow.

Very blustery here in Witney. Every now and then the wind dies down but picks up as soon as I get into the van. Spending the day doing office work etc

Quite windy in Sussex but I just stuck to one floor above ground and ground floor work.  Came a cropper yesterday though.  I had a big commercial job on Sunday.  It was subcontract.  It was right on the edge of what I'm comfortable with for 55ft work.  I felt under a bit of pressure from the contractor to complete.  If I hadn't felt under pressure, I would have deferred the exposed part of the job till next weekend.  I ignored my gut feeling and ended up losing control and snapped a number 3 section of the 48ft Xtreme pole.  Fortunately, I had already decided to keep my old SL2 for emergency back up.  As I was about to drop down a floor anyway, I continued without problem.
Lesson learned.  No matter what the pressure applied from elsewhere, follow your gut.  I should know better and was a bit annoyed with myself.  It won't be happening again.  If the customer won't pay until completion, not my problem.  My pay gets delayed too but rather that than take the risk.

Unlucky.  Sounds like we got lucky, wasnt bad in Pershore (worcestershire) today, bit blustery at times but stayed dry all day, and me and good lady managed to get reasonable day in.  Good part of country here, rain seems to miss us alot.

LOL every time i visit its poring down, my sister moved north to Pershore 5 years ago she Say's it always raining?

Was a bit blowy in Tralee today. I'm trad but had no problems. Even cleared a gutter out.

Watch out for swinging rear van doors in the traffic. Seen loads of vans recently with half the sign writing missing on the rear door
