hi sunshine, just recently started too
i bought the alloy double a frame with straight legs from lansford, perhaps same as yours. the two sections separate i find very useful. articulated safety feet fitted (i got also from Lansfords- very good)
the other alloys on lansford i think are stanley double pointers (cheaper here:
http://www.soapnational.co.uk/acatalog/Ramsay_Ladders.html they have splayed legs which avoids twisting, the sections don't separate (may be modified??) these also come in larger size than previous, necessary for the higher first floors (victorian).
thinking i should have got those perhaps.
i'm personally wondering what safety devices can be used on splayed legs. ie articulated feet wont fit these. anyone have suggestions for this, nothing seems to be on laddersafetysupplies.co.?
i'm not knowledgable about clutch systems, i'm guessing its a catch that swings into place.
