Hi All,

I was just reading about the window cleaner that put something about taxes that some dont pay taxes ectr.... on the other topic. As From April next year there is a scheme that the goverment is introducing that all small enterprises no matter what you do, how much you earn you have to submit a balance sheet with all customers on your books every 3 months and tax will be taken from you which you will recieve back at the end of the tax year. This is to stop the tax dodgers.

Just another note to add as from next January it is going to be issued that anyone without Public Liabilty Insurance will be fined, to me this is great i have a cleaning business and have all insurance to cover my sections. but for those that have not then watch out!!!! You will also have to produce it to all your customers no matter what you do, again this will flush out the dodgy ones.

As From prices for customers they will pay what they want to pay for Cleaning Services. Its like this pay £3 for a top from primark, then the quality is gonna be poopy in most cases, but by a top from next and the quality is better. But let me say that there is some good window cleaners that charge a small price for there services but thats life. THE CUSTOMER WILL DECIDE.

I think anyone starting a bussiness should do it right and pay what they should be paying.

I don't have any problem with making public liability insurance a legal requirement.  I'm astonished it didn't happen years ago.  As for paying tax quarterly based on a customer list, I can't see that being a runner - at least not in that form.  For starters, it seems to make no allowance for business expenditure.  Sometimes, someone might be saving up for an expensive business item to be spent later on in that accounting year.  This would reduce the over all tax bill.  However, if you have to pay quarterly and await a refund, you might not be able to buy the equipment when you need it.  This could cause big cashflow problems for some businesses.  A good way of making the economy even worse; feed the engine with dirty oil.
