how to tender
« on: October 03, 2011, 11:34:12 am »
Hi all,
we've been building up our cleaning comp for a couple of years now, moving from part time mom and pop style domestic into full time (and the rest!) professional commercial company. We have a good base of domestic customers and LA's but want to get into contract work. Can anyone recommend a course for utter noobs to learn how to tender for contracts? Or is anyone who is experienced in contract work outwith our area (glasgow) willing to teach?
we're happy to pay to learn or to hear thoughts and advice from all and sundry.
Deborah :).

Hi iv got a few large companies i work for and i got them through visits and word of mouth these tender sites want the ins and outs of a dogs bum and dont forget your up against mitie, Initial etc they have the reputation and name until you build yourself a name i found no one listens "Argh who are they go with mitie there well known ! how many times have you done it yourself plus in building works and councils there is alot of money changing hands for jobs, nothing is fair these days everyone is on the take , i found if you crack one big company then say i work for so and so then that company takes notice "well if they use them they must be good "

Hi Deborah
We've had the same experience as GemClean an we subscribed to XTender. Coming up against the big players!

If/when you do get the opportunity contact me as I have done loads of tenders and with The Cleaning System I can accurately calculate costs, scheduling and workload and generate visual reports you can use in your tender proposal. I also have a lot more std type documents..,

Good luck
Nico
Eliminate guesswork from your cleaning contracts, forever.
