Looking forward to the winter!
« on: October 01, 2011, 12:34:36 pm »
Does anyone else look forward to the winter? As much as I enjoy the heat of the summer, I still love the baltic mornings and freezing days out on the round. Gonna be my ninth winter out window cleaning, but jetting off to Austrailia for a couple weeks in Novemeber so gonna top up the tan first  :)

I tell all my customers I prefer winter.  Even if I tell them while I have sweat literally running off my chin they dont want to believe me.

I hate the stiff pipes and equipment of the WFP, last winter was the first winter with it and at least when it was minus 20 we knew we couldnt work.  Wouldnt mind upgrading to hot system but wont be affording that for now.  I lorry drive 2 days a week, normally weekend, and i love the cold weather then!

Went to New zealand in jan and feb this year for 5 weeks, but weather wasnt so bad then as was pre xmas.  Have a great time mate over there, 2 weeks doesnt seem enough tho!

Love the heat.

Off to India for bike ride in December, Egypt in January, and again in April. Won't suffer the cold too much this year. Not that it's going to be as bad as the last two winters anyway.

I started a year ago yesterday. Couldn't believe how easy the winter was! Been looking forward to it with these hot days. Don't mind the heat just embarrassing sweating like a pig. Plus drinking lots and having to keep asking the customers to use their toilet is a pain!

I hate working in anything over 23 o 24. So I'm in the wrong place because summers are usually quite hot here. Winters are bloody freezing nearly every year. Overcast 20c is perfect.

Love working in Spring and watching everything turning green again.
