I think it's an L5 heater from the States.

Water in water out, and a gas supply. Some means of venting it. That's about it. Probably need to upgrade the hose to reel.

Lag the pump or make it quick release and take it in house

Heater would normally be fitted after the pump so won't thaw it out.

Get a frost stat and set system up on a loop, so when it hits the low temps, the heater kicks in, as does the pump, and keeps warm water flowing in a circuit through the entire system.

A frost stat is a device that cuts your pump in when te temperature reaches your desired minimum, and cuts it off when it reaches your desired cut off again.

We have one fitted to our transit and it saved us so many days last year simply by leaving it on overnight, and as soon as it dropped below 4 degrees it cut in, fired up the heater, and trickled warm water round the system. Once the temp raised in the morning, it had cut off, system ready to rock, and tank full of warmish water.

Got mine from Poseidon products, you will have to google them.

No, as the pump is circulating warm water.
