Hi,
I was going to post this in general, but seeing as I asked for advice yesterday and no replies so far I thought I would tell you guys!! Sorry but somebodys got to listen to my news!!
I went to a site visit today for myself, I have done hundreds as an employee but have spent ages working towards working for myself.
I went, took samples of chems, insurances, walked the building with the contact and she was so pleased they have asked me to visit 2 other premises over the weekend because they want me to start asap.
Its general cleaning, to include periodic carpets and windows totaling 27 hrs a week and a maintenance side at an hourly rate which I have set and agreed with the client. Likely to be 5-10 hours a week ish and no bother to me, am a multi trader too.
There is no tupe implications as they are new offices and I will be cleaning myself, at least while I work on other work.
This means the difference between me being able to afford to leave my full time job.( I cant stress enough how good that feels) On top of that I went to see a lady yesterday who is getting big in my area on domestic but has no one to pass the cookers, end of tenancy and carpets onto, she wants to pass onto me. She has agreed to work around my hours at my general job.
I have spent years practising for this and it seems to be coming together.
Off to grab a cold beer, am so excited.
Now please await dozens of questions about being self employed!!
Sorry but someone had to cop it and my mrs has fallen asleep!!
