vyair 200gpd RO unit
« on: September 06, 2011, 07:47:48 pm »
hi all,
I have one of these ro units and it auto flushes every time i turn it on for about 30 seconds, can this be altered to a longer time period as i used to do my old ro unit for 5 mins a day and one 30 min each week, my tds coming out of the vyair unit used to be about 13 now its 40 even after changing pre filters, just wondered if it not being flushed for very long is ruining the membranes?
cheers

Yes, a friend of mine and he sent it back to them as it 'wasn't fit for purpose'. He got a full credit and bought a 40/40 with no issues since.

my auto flush is faulty, it kicks in and out all the time.
it started a few weeks ago but i dont use my RO much so thought i will keep an eye onit and see. used it last week and this week a couple of time and still plays up.
contacted vyair and they sent out a new auto flush valve yesterday, got it today and fitted it.
still the same, so something else where is causing problems.
just waiting to hear back from them again.

it was producing water at 50l an hour with a 2-1 bad/good ratio
now it is producing 30l an hour with a 12-1 bad/good ratio.

so i think this might have to go back. if they can't recomend a simple fix.
