Get your winter fund sorted.....
« on: September 05, 2011, 11:01:52 pm »
After the last years winter...from the start of the year i have been putting money in a couple of saving tins.....Hope its not needed but going by this forecast...its not looking to good....

Any newbies starting out get a few quid put away because winter could send you under as it nearly did to me last year...

The UK long range forecaster James Madden states that ’The UK is to brace itself for well below average temperatures and widespread heavy snowfall throughout winter 2011/2012 which will result in the fourth bad winter in succession, and will prove to be the worst of them all’.

’I fully expect records to be broken, with the Highlands of Scotland being once again particularly hard hit. It is vital to start preparing now in terms of high energy bills, and raised awareness amongst the elderly and most vulnerable people of society.’

James Madden’s forecast is based on major natural factors, including solar activity, and how they impact the weather and climate on Earth. His forecasting techniques have attracted significant attention after correctly forecasting seasonal trends in the UK - and proving the Met Office wrong on three successive occasions, before they decided to scrap seasonal forecasts altogether.

He has also correctly forecast the harsh conditions experienced over the last two winters and well in advance of any other forecaster worldwide.

The Highlands are going to be hit hard eh? Thats a shock. No way could i have predicted that. Scottish Highlands, i mean, who'd of thought? This is a good heads up, i hope the guys up there take notice . I'll just wait for someone to offer a heated system for about 2k myself, no way would i entertain one of them £100 calor gas jobbies. Either that or i'll go round with my rag on a stick and hope they feel sorry for me ad just pay me anyway !! ;D ;D

I found that last years (current year) winter wasn't a patch on the year before. Maybe it's warming up, chirstmas dinner in the sun maybe?

trust me guys ive drank my lifetimes supply in 15 years!!my liver couldnt take anymore alcohol!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

i dont think any of us want to have time off before xmas like last year or most of january the year before but sometimes its just not possible to work!

the weather in this country is changing.they reckon its something to do with the gulfstream not getting as far north as much as it used to resulting in more spells of freezing   weather from siberia!!

this is why i tend to work in the rain(not heavy though!)and most conditions unless its a washout day.

I still worked even when i couldnt use ladders the bottoms got done. It was more of "Cleaning On Ice" but we got them done.

It was a good time as we were done sooner and got home to enjoy the fire..

Ive always been a saver just in case but we can only see what happens.
It will affect different window cleaners differently so lets hope we are more prepared this time.
