Makes you wonder

Two things happened today that made me question what some wc's are thinking.
First one was a one off clean I did for a woman who has just had a new roof fitted, she wanted the frames done as her regular wc {trad} doesn't clean the frames/sills. No problem, I had the time and she was between two existing customers of mine. When she paid me she said her current wc had been doing them for 20 years.
I asked her how often he put the prices up {I am thinking of increasing some of mine in the spring}. She thought for a minute and then laughed, "not once". Every year, for 20 years he has in effect taken a price cut?
The other one was my first customer to be lost on price. 3 bed semi in Timperley, been doing them for over a year at £12 every six weeks. Next door also have a wfp cleaner and he charges her a fiver every four weeks. I said if you want to swap over thats fine, £12 is my minimum. so I cleaned them today for the last time at £12. £5 works out at 40p a window/door and Timperley is quite an affluent area?
