I left school at 16 in 1978 with GCE 'O' level passes in English Literature and French, and a CSE Grade 1 in Spanish. All this meant was that I could read in 2 languages 33 years ago. As I failed in Maths and English language, I couldn't even count in my mother tongue. John.
At age 16 I got GCSE's in English, History and Geography - which is why I can spell properly the capital of West Germany which was Bonn!
