Its ok keeping every thing from freezing over night but it when your out working. All hoses still freeze up you still need warm water through out the day to carry on. I had a number of days where this happend. Im thinking about getting a fogwash for this winter.

jay i was ok down to -2 last year.any lower and i went home!! ;D ;D ;D

i did work in -4 with a trad pole a few days with screenwash in my bucket!! ;D ;D

i few times my jets froze but a cup of warm water off my custies soon got them working again!the trick is to keep the water flowing as much as poss when working and dont leave the hose on the ground too long with the water turned off!!

my water was lukewarm this morning after leaving the aquarium heaters in overnight.at least i know they work!!itll take the chill out of my tank plus with an oil filled radiator in the back i wont have any ice in my tank!should keep it nice and toasty for the drive to my first job of the working day!

I found that putting the water into 10/20L containers and putting the water near a rad overnight got the temp to 19 degrees same as the pair of heaters and kept me working to -5 If you preheat yours it may cut down on eleccy. It the raising from 0 to 4 degrees that takes up the most energy. 19 is also the break even point for legionaires disease.
