John Hewitt esr16

I've been looking at purchasing the esr16 to overcome a mine field of dog crap on a customers house. Anybody bought one recently, and if so ,how would you rate it?

I have had mine for 2.5 years very happy. But the wiring is a but flimsy I have change the wiring to improve reliably and fitted a new larger battery. All the chargers are not up to much so replaced with a larger smart charger. I would still buy the same if I were to buy one now.

we bought one around a year ago and its much improved compared to the previous post problems.

its the same crop sprayer as the v2 wcw one but a little cheaper i think.

good charger, last around 10 hrs on a charge

no hose mate.

about half a metre on it with a rubbish connection.

its very very very easy to sort tho - cut the end connection off on the hose, them fit a pole tap (i used gardiners pole tap) then a standard microbore hose tail fitting (again i used gardiners)

stuck a protecta ball on it aswell (again gardiners)

then just cut off 10 m or so off your main hose. sorted!

i used the tap on it mainly so when it was in the van it wouldnt leak any water etc ...

yeah i know that mate - but its good a rubbish connection just before that.

so just cut it off and put the rectus back on.

end of the day its just a crop sprayer which john sticks a rectus connection on.

you will see what i mean when it comes through - not an issue at all tho.

We have these for doing demonstrations.  We also have the WCW one.  Both similar, and have stood up to a lot of use so far.

Yes, the tap it comes with is not that great, so we'll be doing that (removing and adding Rectus 21) with ours.

That's an idea, how much hose do you think would be useful to have "bundled" with a backpack when buying?

how come you get away with a round about way of promoting yourselves all the time?

no offence intended.

hose wise - need enough to go along the length of a house (back or front length) but not too much to carry (hope that makes sense)

I only posted because we're using this backpack and have found it to be good.  I'll edit the above to improve it if that's the way you feel. [Done - hope that's better]

As we're looking at carrying stock of it, and with Panorama's question about the hose I thought it would be good to get some feedback on whether including a hose option with it would be popular.

Don't want to because she got me the other 3 customers next to her. The reason I want the backpack is because it will save me a good 10 mins on the job. Alex, I use an aqua dapter with my clx so the hose you provided me with with suffice, just need a short length from backpack to rectus fitting  :)

Who's Alex?

I think Wc Solutions mentioned that there's hose from the back-pack to the rectus.  I have the back-pack here at the moment, I'll go and take a photo and upload for you to see shortly.

also handy for very cold winter mornings aswell mate, get a few 25 ltr drums,  so if the tanks frozen or pump is then you can still work in the early cold/frozen mornings.

can keep the drums in the house over night etc ...
