Sealant of choice?
« on: August 31, 2011, 02:08:36 pm »
Hi Guys,

Yes i know no one likes sealing!!! But am in the process of pricing up 2 block paving jobs and was wondering what people have found the best!

I have used Resiblock and Pavegard, and both are good in there own ways but am open to more options ;)

When i seal, i use a penetrating sealer. Easier to work with, and you dont get any of the problems associated with surface sealers like Resibloc..

Ive been testing out a water based penetrating sealer lately on some spare blocks, seems to be a decent product, but way overpriced (though im only using the free sample) will probably by some waterbased stuff from another company if i ever get some decent sized sealing jobs.

Have a look for ''water based penetrating sealers''

Takes a while to dry though, so make sure you have some good weather..  ;D

You will be hard pushed to beat Aqua Mix Penetrating Sealer for this sort of job.  It's available in 20 Litre Drums and is a well priced good quality water based sealer.

The client wanted Resiblock used (she got me from there) so I am going to give Resiblock Trade a go! Anyone used it before?
