I am looking for a pressure washer, will be used about once a month on average on small to medium size jobs
been looking on ebay and online shops, driving me crazy
From what I can gather i need at least 15 lpm , and stay away from cheap japanese.
I dont mind spending up to about £1'500
What would you buy ?

Up to £1500 and use once a month? How much will these small to medium sized jobs be worth? Think about it.
What do you want, petrol or diesel?
New or used?
Cold only or both cold and hot?
Me personally, started off with petrol, learnt the costings to run when using every day. Bought a diesel, now have 4 diesel's. 2 Honda GD411 and 2 Yanmar L100.
Best machines at that spec for 15 litre pumps. You'll get parts no problem for them if and when a problem should arise. The only problems I've had is maintaining of fuel filter on the Honda's with dirty fuel leading to injectors getting blocked and having to get them cleaned or injector nozzles replaced. Had the main Yanmar for 2 years and had not one problem with it. 2nd one is now a back up.

Agree with blast away seems alot of expense for very casual use
However...
We use a local dealer to us machines custom made for a little bit more around £1600- £1700 inc vat you can purchase top machine
15hp electric start ..imported lump ... they have used these for yrs known spec we have used two for over a year excellent, no problems I think people are wary as there is cheap honda copies on the market esp ebay! Due to size of lump can run on tick over to reduce fuel costs...
Italian pump 15-18L/min with gearbox not direct drive (we have tried direct drive but reliable as geared) obviously return to tank bypass.
On a nice frame trolley, top piece of kit but maybe over the top for what you need ??
can supply contact details if u like, sure they can ship to yourself or produce kit to your spec

Yes feel free to send me contact details.
Jobs are anywhere from £400 - £1000 and getting requests weekly which i normally turn down.
I have commitments where I have to provide all the external cleaning on certain buildings and dont want to mess about with low rate machines where i could get something twice as fast if i spent more money.
in the last 2 months i have had to sub out 2 £800 jobs and countless more lower priced jobs.
Kenny
Does that machine suck the water or is it mains direct feed ?

company dtails IRTS 01582 600080 speak to Ian mention my name
With most of the industrial machines due to water volume really need to work from tanks (to provide head of water..) std tap will not produce enough water flow, standpipes ok but again would usually feed via tank to control the water....
Dont blame you.... if you have the capacity to take on the work plus outlay is not huge.

Hi david, it's currently set up for mains as it has a header tank built in, to have it daw from a tank all you need to do is disconnect this and feed your tank hose straight to the tank, very easy. I'll even do it for you if you buy it.

hi Dave
Cheers hopefully they go for it, its a good price for the size. We r getting work in, but, always need more. Dont mind subbing youve done the sales so i,m happy to do the work.
How does your work come, is through your contracts or advertising. I have an Int/Net site but i,ve had no work through it, and have stopped all dvertisng. Things looked grim, weve lost a lot of work but luckily ive tightened up & picked up some new work.
We will have to speak sometime.
Cheers Gary
