I use a 750 ml spray bottle that goes in an insulated holster - the nalgene 1L bottle insulater attaches to a belt.

I add hot water from metal thermos flasks to this using a funnel and add some upvc cleaner like stardrops concentrated and a washing up brush. Microfibre in each hand to wipe.

TFR £26 for 25 litres dilute at 4% TFR, pump spray on, leave for 2-3 mins then WFP easy!

25 Litres will last at least two years and the profit from the outlaw is amazing!

i have used t.f.r before and its not a patch on the viro-sol because tfr will not restore upvc where the virosol will.

ps if you do not be leave me order some and see for yourself

ps if you click on the link it will tell you more

Hi Dave,

I got TFR - waste of money.

I got Ubik 2000 - waste of money.

Both products were highly recommended by people on here. The problem with Ubik 2000 is that it doesn't clean stains on plastic at all; yes it removes green moss and any grease but that is it. I always revert to cleaning the plastic with Cif on my brush and scrubbing like mad. I hate conservatory cleans as they take me too long. I made the mistake of leaving the TFR too long the first time I used it and spent 8 hours cleaning the conservatory roof and sides by hand getting the TFR stains off. (Infact on the neighbours side of this conservatory there are still TFR stains visible 5 years on which I didn't get off completely)

I see that Viro-sol is made by the same company Clover as Ubik 2000 and both claim the same results, but my experience is that Ubik 2000 doesn't do what it says it does on the tin.

Does Viro-sol bring up the white on UPVC conservatory roofs with minimal effort?

We used TFR in the valleting bay at the garage in a steam cleaner which worked well for getting the wax protector coat off a new vehicle paint work before delivery to the customer.

On Peter's forum there was a cleaner who uses thin bleach.  His customers are delighted with the results and he uses minimum effort. I'm scared of bleach and haven't tried it as it can kill plants and fish if it's residue gets into a fish pond. Another thing with bleach is that it doesn't clean off the stains, but hides them by making them invisible, and I don't know what to think of that. It also takes the colour of of the Bib and Brace overalls I use.

I've still got a dried out pot of Astonish in the van. It cleans UPVC nicely, but again you need to use a lot of muscle.

Hi Dave

Based on your experience using this product and your enthusiasm regarding its performance, and with another conservatory clean due shortly, I have just ordered a 5 litre container to try. Thanks for your recommendation which I value and I look forward to giving this a go.

Thanks again

Have a look at all the `posh`web sites that firms/companies who
Say they specialize in just UPVC cleaning. There`s plenty of em`.
What do they use ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? :-\ :-\
From what I can make out it`s just industrial strenth solvent cleaner
Along with `elbow grease`.
Anyone know what they do use at all?

cif cleaner on a wet rag if you want to be removing stubborn stains on their pvc.i just use wfp and damp microfibre for all maintenance cleans.

anyone else notices certain types of leaves stain the pvc?i clean them the best i can with wfp/cloth but most of the time it doesnt come off.
price higher/work harder!
