need some help guys!
« on: August 19, 2011, 07:26:13 am »
as most of you know i use a 50L TROLLEY to draw the water out of my tank via the 2 drop pipes.i dont need the trolley now and its taking a chunk of space in my small van(kangoo).i have a tank elbow in one corner of my tank that has a length of hose coming from it that i just tie up with a bungee.

i basically want to change my set up so its a full van mount with no trolley so i can put a backpack and 25L drum in place of the trolley.not sure whether to sell the trolley and buy a pump/battery and mount it on a piece of wood.i want to be able to take the pump/battery in at night for charging and keep warm from the frost on cold winter nights.

do i just attach the hose from the tank elbow to the  side of the pump then wires from the pump onto battery?im not bothered about a controller.ive had nothing but trouble with mine lately.

any ideas and pics if possible would be very helpful.im not sure how to go about doing this.

many thanks in advance guys.

Yeah just connect pipe from elbow to pump, then wire pump to battery and away yoqu go.

If you want to sell the trolley as a whole, I would recommend buying a vyair pump, only £50, then go to a scrapyard, or local motor factors and get an old battery Fromm them.

The vyair pump comes with male hose lock connectors thatnyou can use instead of barbs to allow for easy removal.

im not WFP but if i was ,id definitely rig up a tinkley chime to the wheels of that trolley so it played a cheerful tune as i wheeled it about.

just stick the end in the tank and have a connecter hooked up to a short hoselok
only use it near the van as have the 25 ltr trolley for when i am out of reach;
works fine for me
