Dear Customer,

WINDOW CLEANING – PRICE INCREASE

We have increased our price for the monthly - two weekly  cleaning of your property from...

£________ to £ ________.  This increase will be effective at our next clean.

It is realised that this is a nessasery increase in price, however due to increased costs.    It is hoped that this will not deter you from being one of our valued customers  and if you wish to discuss the above account.  please do not hesitate to phone me....
Thanks  again
Gordon

hope it helps

I don't bother with letters on this now, (unless i planned a big increase)

If custy's in and I put a pound more on, i just say new price.

they either say how much is it? (custy doesn't remember, so why draw attention to increase)

Custy says oh has it gone up? (me: yes everyone's gone up £1)

Or if custy's not in just leave bill with new price on.

When i use to announce a price increase it was usually met with moans and groans; and it feels a bit like asking custy's permission if it's alright ::)

when i goto to petrol station or tescos they don't give announcements telling of price increases ;D

Absolutely right. They nearly all say 'how much is it' - what's the point of giving them a chance to moan ;D

I use to think like that Ian, but found it was took as it was up for negatiation :( (not all but, got me down)

Petrol stations do have the prices in big numbers, but it's same price per litre for everyone.

My custies prices vary ;)
