Hi all has anyone had any come backs from cleaning in the rain? I often do clean in bad weather but some people dont like you doing it so just wondering if anybody had any problems from it?

i never use to clean in the rain, now i just go out and dont care, if they say not whilst its raining i jusat move on,   the rule i use for if the rain is to heavy is  i look at he floor and if i can still see dry bits then the rain is light enough to work in

i dont mind the getting wet part its custy's that moan or look at you gone out!!!

I Live approx 1.5 Miles from The National Met Office here in Exeter and they have over £10,000,000 of computers to help them and they Don't get our weather right locally so you guys are Buggered if you listen and watch forecasts.

If you want to know the weather look out the window! its more accurate!

According to stats they are just over 35% correct.

Just get some waterproof clothing and carry on, 'Dickies' workwear do some great stuff, I get mine at a local farm supply shop cheap as chips and dry inside all day!
Tip; get a size too big and they are good for winter too on top of all your warm gear!

If it is not to heavy and its not raining on the windows to much ie only light rain or drizzle then i will work in it all day , i have the odd customer twist , funny thing is they only come out and complain when they have watched me clean the windows and i have  knocked for the money

ive lost count of how many times i say to customers "i dont follow the forecasts,its always wrong,  youd think theyd get it right after all these years, satellite technology  its a mockery isnt it blah blah blah "

I used to before i ditched a customer who refused to pay me after it started raining when i were halfway through the job. But not only that i realise that people don't like paying for their windows to be cleaned in the rain, it is also dangerous and pointless & i would look like a complete fool.

i just let them know a week in advance by printing it on the "windows cleaned" tickets.never had a problem.

i had a bit of a battle with a custy yesterday over the rain.

as i was packing up i said to her ,"if you want a reliable regular job then we have to work in all weathers."  she asked me to carry on.

thats the way it is,i have work every day and more and have set days for particular jobs .
