« on: August 17, 2011, 06:31:28 pm »
For a 3 bed house! A local window cleaner to me advertising on fb the above??

He says they're becoming popular (no wonder at that price) but something tells me he'll get fed up doing them for that.

What do you guys charge? I average £40-£60 for a average 3 bed???

bad trippy

£15 though is a bit on the low side though.

Not people who have to fork out for a van, and all the associated paraphernalia that goes with a pure water system.  It's about £40 for a ruddy brush!  ;D

£60 a day good money?

It doesn't even come close to minimum wage.

I spoke to a window cleaner a couple of years ago and when he hit the £60 mark he went home for the day, and it took him until 2.30/3.00 to do it

He asked me if that was about right? I said yes ;D

anything from £40-£80 for 3-4 bedroom houses.£15 he is sure to be stuffing the money in his back pocket.is he doing them off a ladder instead of wfp?

£60 a day is not good money whichever way you look at it.for most of us its a couple of hours work or so maintenance window cleaning.i have some work where i earn £60 an hour but not 40 hours a week!

most of this type of work comes through my regular customer base.i have noticed an "odd job" guy knocking about offering conservatory roof cleaning for £20 in with the gardening!!using a hosepipe and garden brush!!he is a retired guy who is just topping up his pension.it doesnt bother me as i have enough work and the conny roof/fascias cleaning are extras to fit in round my regular stuff.
price higher/work harder!

Yes it does, minimum wage is £5.93 for an adult over 21 and the standard average day  (if there is such a thing) is 8 hours so he's getting a bit more than average and if he's just started up perhaps he's happy with that until he builds up some better work.
