Hi everyone

heres some pics of my backpackon a Machine Mart trolley with a quick release strap round it and a safety sign hooked on the back.
Quite simple really- my Pure Freedom trolley from Andrew Mc Cann is being delivered in 2 weeks so i'll have the 2 systems, just in the process of taking more work on.

This is just an excuse for the wife to try the new camera out!

Hi Brett

How do you operate the start/speed button on the bottom of the b/pack while it's on the trolley?  - or do you leave it switched on and controll the flow by relying on the built in pressure switch?

Brett, I use a backpack as my primary WFP source; 'cos my trolley system pump is naff (till I get a variflow).

I use photobucket.  All you have to do is upload your images there and cut and paste the 'IMG' URL.  It probably sounds more complicated than it actually is.

You can stop the pump safely just by putting a U-bend in the pipe, for example when going from window to window.  You can also tie a knot in it too to keep the pump switched off for when you want to move the backpack and pole and require two hands.

It has four pump settings and I tend to use setting two.  When I've finished an area of windows I can bend the pipe that feeds my pole to stop the water flow (to conserve water), then, since my backpack is raised from the floor because it's trolley mounted, I just push the pump flow button three times, and I know it's switched off.

It's a brilliant entry-level peice of equipment.  Good battery too.  It's not failed me yet, and I give it some stick.

Evening Brett & Debbie,

Have just purchased a new vessel for my 5 year old Omnitrolley but when it broke I was without  one for 2 days and it caused havoc !!!

Looking to builf my own and just wanted to know how much you paid for your sack trolley ?  Matt has already told me how to get the welding done etc so its just sourcing the cheapest parts.

Also did you find any cheap outlets for the pump and leisure battery ?

the best place i found was machine mart they have a good selection of sack trollies mine was only 21 quid , regarding the battery and pump mine is a backpack so it came complete

Hi Brett,

Why would you want a pure freedom trolley if yours does the job? Would it be that with yours you could use it as a backpack & the pure freedom  as a trolley system?.

The backpack is an excellent peice pf kit, but i have took some more work on so the 2 systems will be very handy for 2 of us.  With the backpack you have to keep filling it but with thr pure freedom trolley you just get the 25ltr container out of your car put it on the back of your trolley and away you go.

Also the trolley has a pole carrier, in my opinion the backpack is far too heavy to put on your back all day, i have put mine on a sack barrow it will be good to get to those hard to reach windows where you can't get the trolley.

I have looked at many trollies and the pure reedom one is affordable for me and will do what it says on the tin.  Ofcourse if you are good at building this kind of thing it will be alot cheaper, i have picked a lot up of Matts DIY site.

You've had a bit of bad luck just lately you'll get back there the only way is up WFP.  Rome waas't built in a day but as they say i was'nt on that job !!!

Another try doing it a different way . OK sussed it. Just upload your pic to your photobucket album and copy the IMG url which is the last one below your pic. Dont bother clicking the insert image icon Then just paste the whole IMG url into your post. Thats how I did the last one and it worked fine

has anyone else got any pics of their backpack trolley

I could take some of mine, but it's just the same as yours.  For normal use I use a smaller trolley which has a folding handle so it just sits on my rear seat, on the trolley; seat-belted in to stop it toppling over.

I've also got a 50 litre trolley, the routine sort that normally holds two 25 litre barrels.  I sometimes slip the back pack in there with a 25 litre barrel for 'reserve ammunition'; but only in places where I've really easy access.

(The reason I don't use the trolley with it's orginal Shurflo pump and battery is that I haven't got a variflow (yet) and it doesn't half 'jet' out the water.)

I also use a 15 meter extension hose.  I can park the trolley up at the side of the house and the hose gives me enough length to get the front and rear of the house.

 I just 'nip' the thin hose from my pole to cut the pump off till I'm in position for the next window, or tie a knot in the thin hose to adjust the height of the pole; saving water.

I'm really pleased with my little system.  Brilliant for residential work with often awkward access.
