Oil on customers driveway

Customer has just called and it would appear that my van has leaked oil onto their red blocked weave driveway - I didn't realise the van was leaking, and the customer is cross. i have said that I will try and clean it up. What method would be best, as I do not want to cause any other discolouration to the brick when cleaning it. Should I get the customer to sign something that shows he gives me permission to use a "cleaner" of some sort on the drive? Any advice would be appreciated. It is only on one block.

Take the block out and turn it over

And swap it with a block from one side of the drive so if its faded then it won't show

You can only do this if they are clay blocks.  If concrete block they are one sided.  
I do a bit of drive cleaning and always use this http://www.oiltechnics.co.uk/Oil_Stains/BlockDrives/index.html to very good effect,

As above but use bio washing liquid neat or swop it for one out of sight

The best way is change the affected blocks, if that is not possible soak it with brake cleaner leave for a few minuets and wash off, oil is almost impossible to remove as it will leave a residue mark.

thanks to every1 for the input and info,

i will be trying the ot8 first and see the result, as the oil is 'fresh' it hopefully won't leave a mark.

changing or turning over a brick is a last resort as i could see this leading other problems with the custy.  ::)

the drive cost just over 30k to have laid 3 years ago.

Sorry to ask  - but is your van actually leaking oil or is this someones elses problem that's been made yours?

Unfortunatly it's mine - off to the garage tomorrow morning

seems to a have a leak over the few days - i travel down some rough old roads so don't know if it's a seal thats blown
or something more serious...

I removed some from a custies drive with viro-sol. Sprayed it on, brushed it, rinsed it. Marks completely gone!
