Use the search this has been asked a few times. You will get odd presures through each pole when one is doing tops and the other bottoms because of gravity resistance.

We were running 2 poles from one very old flojet pump. NO problems whatsoever even with the poles and hoses at all sorts of lengths.

So no problems with this se tup in your van then. I have the T piece for splitting hose towards the reels. My set up is only 1 reel at present with shurflo pump and varistream.  I'm guessing just double the setting on the varistream for enough water on both poles

I got 2 vans with 1 pump 2 reels. What I have found is that as long as both reels are the same length in microbore and inside diameter. And the pole hose is the same inside diameter then the pressure is pretty equal on both poles

Yes agree there steve, as my one hose is shorter than the other, ive put an inline tap before the shorter reel to share the water equally. Also the tap is there in case i only want to use the one reel so its not still pumping the water round the reel thats not being used.

Hi Spruce. What WAS in the big heavy stainless box were 2 x flojets (1boosting the twin 40's) resin vessel and various valves for auto filling along with leisure battery etc etc.
I have removed the twin 40's which were fitted (submerged in the tank) and set them up static at home. Got rid of the stainless box and fitted the pump to a removable board (for winter removal)

Both the Popular controllers will cope with 2 hoses how much you need to adjust the DE (flow off) will depend on your system.

Yes Of course DE or Dead End refers to the water flow stopping. or if you like Flow off.
EG kink in the hose or disconnect the pole.

  My boss and the design director are techie people and tend to think of the system from the controller up, where I reckon most think from the brush down.

Both the Varisteam and our controller have Dead End Detection (Flow Off) Our Digital controller has a Auto Calibration feature which the Varistream does not. Is your controller one with a 3 digit display or 2?

Our understanding of the varistream is that it has a manual DE adjustment I believe there are some threads here on how to adjust it. This one is not made by us but we try to help. try this thread

The reason for adjusting it would be to account for the water pressure difference between 1 hose and 2 hoses. the extra pressure is not huge but may make the controller think there is no water flowing so it will shut down and Show DE.

If you have a controller with a 3 digit display then you can set the auto cal of just increase the calibration manually 0 - 99 see this thread
