really cant understand why anyone would not have signs on the van  .  pays for itself over and over again

I agree with you... The amount of people who approach and ask for a business card is amazing.

exactly colin .    plus when you turn up to quote or do a job it looks proff a lot of people would not employ the services of someone without a signwritten van

Interestingly when you do work for the real high end Market it's not unusual to be asked to come in an unwritten van  :P

Thats very true, we have one very very select client who we travel all over the uk for, but my staff have to be in plain uniform and unmarked vehicle!

Never happens to me. Had businesses put their name over ours with magnetic signs on contract jobs, why would they want you plain clothed ? Are you the MI5 cleaners?
