has anyone had a bit of good fortune like this?

i was cleaning a house and a man next door came out and said can you clean all my student to let houses, he has 15! i gave him a discount but there all worth £20 each every 8 weeks. its great when jobs land in your lap eh!

I surprises me he wants to fork out £300 every-eight-weeks for student accommodation.

well you never know he might turn around and extend the times, still its an extra few hundred pounds for now. he did ask about internal cleaning (not windows) but would only pay £8 an hour, i said no thanks  ;D

Once a year for student flats,  its in the rental agreement small print usually that the windows have to be cleaned (and sometimes the carpets) by the students before they hand the keys back at the end of the year.

i have picked up some very good jobs from word of mouth and recommendation.in fact thats how i pick up most of my new work these days.i take my luck as it comes.

doing a good job,having a professional attitude to my business and being trustworthy and reliable has paid dividends over the years.

I picked up a huge job the other week by word of mouth he is sixth on the Sunday rich list for hedge funds.

It took 5 of us 5hrs. ;D

im doing one at a time at the moment, not risking it. he did ask to be billed at the end of it. no chance!

I started using Facebook like a few on here but had nothing, anyway this morning found it a school friend of mine is workign for a big Fm company and wants a load of shops quoting, Mostly big high street stuff, so all good... Bit of luck for a change  :) Just hope they dont riot round there lol
