If you are in London or Birmingham with some time today please get involved with @riotcleanup on Twitter and help communities to get back on their feet after the riots.
Thanks

For someone over the pond with little knowledge of the areas these riots are it, are the people who are rioting from one section of the community or is it a multi race riot.

Just wondering.

thanks

Mark,

At the moment it is just a bunch thugs quite literally running riot, which has now snow balled into copycat riots in different cities. The worry is that if these people find a cause, like social exclusion, joblessness etc and it turns political, well then were are in trouble. Take the Arab uprisings, they were all started by disaffected young people and look where that has ended up.
I think David Cameron has done well today, upping police numbers to 16,000 from a mere 6,000 but the police need to be careful they don't fan the flames with excessive use of force. All bleek stuff. :(

Hello Mark. It was said that young black kids were predominantly running the show. But a good few "Chalkies" seem to have joined in too.... :-\

From the tv footage and the interviews it's abundantly clear that it's 99% black people with the usual pathetic reasons for causing the country millions in damage and dozens of job losses.

Why the English tip toe around the problem is mystifying to me.

Have they all been so indoctrinated by socialist wimps over the past 30 years that they accept the political correctness as OK and are happy to live with so called equality and can't see the problems created by immigration.
