SAME HERE just got back from the shed and water on the floor again. Im thinking is it bcos there is only 3 holding clips inside the plastic 1s? As soon as they are slightly off they leak bad, ive looked at the brass type and they have 6 bearings - need to sort it b4 the winter as im thinking of gettin a booster pump which would prob be twice as bad

I use the brass ones on my static system with no drips at all but wouldn't use them on my hose etc as not quick to release, I use the gardina ones as there the best I've found.

if its a static connection use GEKA fittings or equivalent copies
they dont leak and cope with over 200psi
thats for half inch hose
on micro i use airline fittings
more robust than easi snap and shrader/rectus etc plus easily available

I have Hozelocks from tank>pump>2 x DI's>reel & they don't leak at all.

Are you using genuine H/L's? Have you tried replacing the rubber O rings on the male parts?

Part of my in van system is plumbed in with copper pipe and fittings.

When I get a new van the whole in-van system will be done that way.

I would be inclined to use plastic pipe with push fit connectors.

Do you not suffer in winter with the copper pipes?

I heat my van if necessary in the winter anyway to save pole hoses freezing.

I use geka style fittings wherever possible all the connections on my 4040 are Geka...and the only non pole fitting that is hozelock is on the hose reel.

They are brilliant and come in make and females, joiners, three-way..etc...every now and then I change the rubber washer and they are cheap as chips.

Cheers Dave.

I have a brass fitting on my hose reel that leaks like a tap is running. It's the one from the purefreedom diy kit any ideas on what I can get instead.

You just have to keep replacing them regularly, they wear out very quickly. Even the brass ones.  Price makes no difference they are all the same.

Buy a load at a time from TOOLSTATION much much cheaper than Homebase, B&Q or garden centres
