A good pole with clamps you don't have to glue and tape up every day.
Must have spent more on tape and glue than I did on the pole 5 times over.
So now in the hunt for a pole I won't need to mess about with gluing and taping.
I'm not bothered how much it will cost.
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.

this may sound daft but:

im bought the clx pole from gardiners when they had a bad batch, so they took it back off me and fitted new clamps and glued them and now they are totally solid!

so what im saying is once gardiners guys have got there hands on it and re glued all the clamps you wont have a prob again

when any pole supplier recieve the poles from the supplier they are already made up so not gardiners fault about the bad batch of glued clamps but what im saying is that the guys that fix the poles there are very good at it etc ...

Don't get me wrong they are good poles when I'm not messing around with them.but after 10 hours on the glass I get fed up gluing and taping them up.I want to park my van up and forget about it till the next day.

Araldite the lot of them one evening and you'll never have a problem again

Had my clx for 8 months now and my clamps are fine... never had to re-glue them

nothing personal against gardiners but this issue with clamps on
poles has been going on for a long time and if they are selling a product
with there name on it,it is def there responsibility.if they can solve the
problem when you send the pole back then the issue should be sorted
before they are sent out to customers even if it means them taking
clamps apart and reglueing every pole they sell before they send it out.
this would be better than just hoping for the best.

i have handled both the slx and the clx and look good pieces of equipment
but im not going to let go of my hard earned cash on something that im
going to have to diy after only a short period of use.

like i said nothing personal just an opinion

I've got 2 slx's & a 48ft Xtreme & had no problems BUT.........

The best glue you can get is from Gardiners themselves- the 2 part epoxy resin. This is what I used when I upgraded my MKI slx clamps & also the QR end upgrade. Never come unstuck. I've also used it for no end of things around the house! ;D
