Had a letter came through the mail this morning when I got back and open it there was an invoice from 09/10/2007 with a cheque for the amount owing and that was dated 27/07/2011.

The customer which i use to do, way back then wrote on the invoice SORRY Enclosed a cheque owing.
Dates of clean: 15/06/2007, 18/07/2007 and the 16/08/2007

Couldnt believe it when I open it and seen it and I am going to frame this Invoice.

And I written this one off in 2007.

Many years ago through no fault of my own I was forced to go bankrupt, one or two debts i had to leave unpaid always played on my mind as they were good people who didnt deserve to be left out of pocket. So I did everything I could to make sure sure they were delt with.
perhaps your customer had something happen which forced them to not pay you and their guilt finaly had enough.
It can take many years to recover from things and you have to take some tough decisions.
