Am with ricky and Jim on this one. The most important and time consuming part of the job on any silk (or silk like) rug is the grooming. This should take at least 15 mins per sq ft.

Pete

how true, when you get the call for a silky its wahoo whay whos the daddy!!, then you view and fall in love with piece (if its got history then even better) then you come to the drying and realigning the pile section and you ask your self why the F@@K did I take this on................!!!

Labor of love maybe ?

No Ricky give your head a shake lad its all about the £££££'S

Ricky the expert  :D :D

far from an expert as you it but ive done a fair few now and been taught what I do know by an expert with 25 years worth of cleaning rug behind him and we have a small rug cleaning operation/plant
take it your an expert then pal ?

Seems Mr AR is out to make NO friends going off his recent comment, and in other posts too. Best to ignore blatant ignorance.

Great thing about forums is that once you sift thru all the conflicting comments you do get an idea of what the problem may be.

Sorry the photos havent arrived yet but now the custy is embarrassed and doesn“t seem to want to let me fix the problem. But because I care about doing things right  ;) I will see if I can get the thing back and stick some fotos on.

Just so you all know, we clean maybe 30-40 rugs a week and this is a new one to me.

All you guys who like to wind everybody up - KEEP GOING PLEASE & and all you wee sensitive souls realise that everybody who works for themselves ....... well, we are always all correct, all the time!

Time to get back in the pool, its roasting here!!!
