Roger I bet it is as he says - acyrlic on polyurethane. I had one once and soda blasted it. Resiblock suggested a belt sander.

resiblock did tell me that once "22" or "superior" are down, you wont be able to just seal over again with another type of sealer as the resin soaks into blocks so other sealers dont soak in. its another reason to forget sealing. moss grows ontop anyway!
