What do you leave you customers....
« on: October 20, 2005, 07:35:09 pm »
Just been giving some thought to 'after sales care'

When you have finished cleaning, you have packed your van up, invoice has been written out and cheque is in hand.....

What else do you leave your customer!!

Same as Gary, business card and Solution's no 3 spotter for cutomers who I think could be potential regulars and those who spend big.

Hi

I leave a Testamonial form with stamped address envelope, referal vouchers with money back offers and a signed copy of my Guarantee. Plus Free Master stain remover from Alltec.

Cheers

Those who leave customers a bottle of spotter........
I'm just wondering, do you have to include a label on the bottle stating the contents of the bottle (for COSHH). What would happen if customers 2 year old child drank the contents and customer rang you to ask what were the contents so she could tell the hospital - but you didn't answer the call?
What if she sprayed the product on a stain and it damaged her carpet in some way?
I'm not knocking what you do but am concerned about the legalities.

Steve, a good point and you're right. I don't leave a COSHH sheet, but will in future. I would not accept the blame if they used it on anything other than carpets and its a damn sight safer then that vanish rubbish.

Agree with Steve, no Coshh sheets from the supermarket.

I would rather my kids drink Solution no 3 than Vanish.
As for damage to the carpet, I dont think its possible with No 3.

Phil

Ps Steve, any chance of running that girl under your name a bit longer, perhaps getting out of the pool, she is really nice.

COSHH sheets are available from supermarkets, if you sell chemicals you have to supply COSHH by law.

On the rear of my invoice are suggested procedures for drying and safety

Can you imagine asking one of the staff at Sainsbury's/Tesco for a Coshh sheet for a bottle of 1001 stain remover.

I can see the look on her face now.

I don't clean as many carpets as you guys, as cleaning is my main business. But if I did I would have flashy key rings made and leave one with every job. people will maybe use on door keys etc and when they need you again the numbers there in front of them. you can get them made for as little as 50p. depending on how many you need,

if you could get your name on tescos club card.
 you would be well in.
went to a garage today nearley every set of keys hung up had one on.
mabye design a cover with your name on to protect them as they seem to get tatty and bar code gets worn.

How many of you would use a keyring that had (lets say) the number of your plumber on? My guess is not many so I dont suppose many would do much with the keyring that had yours or my number on either - except chuck it in the bin!
