Ha ha ,I did have to call my mum,to come and rescue me,when I moved back down south,in the early 90's,was going from Great Ayton,in my mini,got as far as Northallerton,broke down,called my mum from the phone in the food van,sold my mini to him too,and sat for 3 hours waiting for my mum to get there

If I'm right then someone tried it with the water fed poles for window cleaning some years ago but I don't think it ever caught on.
