Derek

Just take the switch that you've taken out of the machine to your supplier and ask for a similar item.  'Press to make' types can be 'latching' or 'non-latching' e.g. hold-on (like your home light switches) or momentary (like on the fridge door).  The machine might even have some sort of intelligent function that looks at the switch status and decides on the motor action.

A bit confusing, but I hope this at least helps.  Switches and the internal motor controllers can be funny things.

i think i know what you mean, maybe ive got 2 latchings instead of 1 latching and 1 non.
don't suppose you could point me to an outlet that will have the knowledge and switches that relate to latching and non latching,
ive sorted it temporarily by joining the off switch wires together, so i can switch it on and then lower the handle to the floor to switch it off, as this cuts the motor as well as the off switch.

ps... £85 from the main dealer.
