Just a thought i am not long in to carpet cleaning,Whilst being a member for a while.
I have looked back in to some of the senior members history. (past posts)
and some have been upset by reactions of there posts when they was at the start.
But now ridicule new members.

Have you ever thought of becoming a news paper reporter? They like to dig around in the past in order to dish the dirt... ;D

On a serious note, and I'm not trying to pick a fight, are you just trying to stir things up, or is there a genuine reason for this thread ???

Paul, the senior members on here are experienced carpet cleaners and passionate about the job they do.
Every now and again we get new members coming on, under false names with no other intention than to cause trouble or just take the P**S. A recent example is the "best cleaning product to use in a Bissell".
I find it funny at times but it does get a little annoying at times when genuine members need a quick, well explained answer to a genuine post.

I get the feeling labrat might actually have been a genuine domestic user of that machine, and just thought a pro forum might help him out getting a better cleaning product.  (hence my little bit of mickey taking but proper answer)

I support Paul's post, in as much as we all start off at nothing, those above our level of knowledge should have respect.

What is that saying?

Whilst climbing the tree of life, the monkeys at the top look down and see other monkeys looking up at them.  The monkeys at the bottom look up and all they can see is as*holes!

That's a good answer. I don't post on this section very often but I notice a certain respect that some "Senior members" are shown. Even if they post silly comments or type complete rubbish. I suppose it's "Forum life" if you see what I mean.

Respect must be earned, and cannot be demanded. Some of the prolific posters on this section seem to be under the impression they are never wrong and should be respected and not taken to point. Funny to watch them squirm when they post something they can't support with fact.

I like this section, it's got more senior posters in it than the other sections. ;)

There's no right and no wrong on here, just opinions although some opinions are based on years of trial and error of methods of machines of products.

Some of the newer seniors have paid out money for endless courses or bought into bigger is better and find it difficult to accept that someone with more savvy or a willingness to experiment  can achieve excellent results without laying out tens of thousands of pounds.

When someone has come through the ranks of low power portables and graduated to higher power portables and possibly gone on to T/M's they have probably learned a great deal along the way and worth listening to.

There will always be new technology and evolution of ancient technology giving a number of options so discount nothing and read everything.

Trouble with carpet cleaning is that there's always something new around the corner realistically you can't re invent the wheel but somethings things and techniques can be marketed that way.

So we've got senior seniors, junior seniors and new seniors, are there any junior juniors, new newbies, nearly new newbies, junior newbies, or senior newbies and if so, is there anyone left without a title and if so what the hell should we can them?

Now that's why I'm having such a fun time on this section. Were else could you get such brilliant quotes like that? So anyone who uses a porty (low powered) isn't in the picture and can't have any real savvy at all regarding business? However, i they have a powerful porty, they are on the very brink of becoming business savvy.?
Even better, if someone has a TM, then they speak only the wisdom of the Gods!!! ??

So it's about what gear we all use as to whether we know what we're talking about?? I have got this right Robert? I mean it was you in that Groupon thread that explained to me about the "Respected posters" on here that are to be respected?

Does this mean I need to ask what machines and other gear people use before I can comment on a thread? Is there anything else I need to know? What chems they use, or shoe size?

I'm convinced that one or two members may need surgery to remove their heads from their backsides. I don't even want to attempt to fathom who is a senior junior new senior member. It's making my jaw ache laughing. What's next? Little badges you can pin on your shirt before logging onto CIU Carpet Section? Sounds like one of those cr@p American TV things.

 :'( :'( :'( guess as a LM cleaner I will never get a badge........

Or any business sense, even though all my kit cost me less than £500 and I do a job that even a TM owner didn't think was overly possible and certainly not at the speed that I did it......

Oh well back to the drawing board.............   :( :(
