you can turn it over goron, load it into a video editor, even a free one will give you a rotate option, oh and once again, bless you. ;D

good video though, just needs rotating.

Cheers Guys

Derek that is the right way up don't you have carpeted walls up your way? I did try the right way up but because i filmed it the wrong way round on my phone it comes out really narrow so left it like it is.

Goron,
The trouble with your video is you don't get the carpet clean, or don't appear to and that undermines it completely. It doesn't look like the Pre-spray has done a very good job, because ordinarily that kind of carpet is a piece of p to clean to a new like standard.
We've just started with video so take a camera everywhere in the hopemof compiling a load of good shots. Also, you can get some really good video editing software from Serif for about £60.

Hi

Give the guy a break ! there was no adverts either or music.

Extraction is only one part of the clean that a custoemer will be botherd about as none of the other process visibly remove any dirt.

Its hard to hold a video camara and clean you need some one else

Okay Simon you are the best and one pass is always enough for you  ;) This carpet had endured years of abuse from a certain type of dirty water. :-X

The video was to show the customer how much of an impact can be made on the dirtiest carpet which i believe it shows it was not meant to be a step by step video teaching the ins and outs when all they want to see is the dirt coming off.

Goron,
I wasn't suggesting for a moment that I am the best and therefore you are not, far from it. What I was simply pointing out was that the carpet in your video did not come properly clean and therefore I wouldn't show that material to anyone as evidence of what I could do for them because the result is not great.

I've only been video marketing since 2007 so please excuse my ignorance or inexperience.

If I did not know anything about carpet cleaning (i.e. a customer), I would be really impressed. Funnily enough, if I knew about carpet cleaning I would still be impressed.

Can't wait for Simon's Bafta award winning videos. ;D

Gary,
Your kind of missing the point. Surely the idea of using video is to present the best possible face of what you offer. Because the carpet doesn't come completely clean and because residual dirt is clearly visible I wouldn't use that particular clip, but that is just my opinion.

there is a show more button at the bottom of the video which explains a little more about the prep and result of the clean but i would agree with simon, it's a BIG difference but if i were going live with a video i would make sure it is one that looks absolutely clean afterwards to really give the wow factor,

I think the quality of the video doesn't do the job justice, I can't believe Goron would leave a poorly cleaned carpet PERIOD, if you look to the right of the picture then the carpet looks lovely and clean but the area being cleaned looks 'stripy', youtube do HD but it's only as good a the viewers screen.

I don't think there is any suggestion that Goron would leave a carpet in anything less than prestine condition. What is worrying is that he may have been thinking that the footage was good enough to use in promotional material, when clearly it is not, in my opinion, that is.

i'm sure goron will go on to make some crackin video's,
thank you for sharing your first attempt goron. can't wait to see the next one.

I've done the odd video like that and the carpets a real minger and comes up like new, but when I replay the video it doesn't appear like that as if the contrast is slightly off kilter.

They say a great photographer never shows the thousands of duff pictures he's taken, only the brilliant ones. I would do the same with videos.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Give the guy a break, it was his first attempt and he didn't put it here for a critic of "Do you think the carpet looks brand new again." It was done for help on video techniques.
If we are going done the route of quality of carpet cleaning then I'm sure any potential customer seeing the video would be satisfied enough with the before/after material.
