 I have had another thread about sebo vs oreck vs envirodri for aggitating prespray.

 The envirodri is a lot of money for what it is imo. Some have pointed out that the others are a bit light.

 Got me thinking i have several rotary's, texatherm plus  a few numatic slow speed scrubbing machines.

 does anyone use these for aggitaitation. it has the weight and the umph to do a good job i would imagine.

 i can see its a bit big for a single room, but i could stick with the pile brush for that. it cant be any worse than getting an envitodri set up when doing large areas.

has anyone tried it and if so what brush plate did you use?

You can do as you say but I think the envirodri or Flexi 5 do far better job overall. There's an envirodri on eBay at the moment.

It's really a personal choice thing..........you'll find posts supporting EVERYTHING from individuals who have been happy with results they achieve but they might NOT have tried the other options.

In fact one of the most highly respected carpet cleaners who no longer posts on here DOES NOT use an additional machine to agitate as he knows perfectly well that the power from his SINGLE jet wand at the RIGHT  pressure will flush out the ALREADY RELEASED soil.

Others imagine that a hammering from an agitating machine will give them the best possible result !

I've used ALL of the various methods and on most jobs I DON'T add mechanical agitation. On the rare occasion when it would be helpful I use a small " yard brush " with med stiff bristles. It cost me about £3 in a local cash and carry outlet about four years ago.

There are always exceptions and cleaning large areas would be an exception to the above.

As robert said its all down to individuals..

I use a sebo on some jobs but would not justs et it up for a lounge etc as i would use by carpet brush for that..

I have always said that I would NEVER bother with a CRB... I came across a second hand Host recently and I'm eating humble pie now. Well worth the money IMO, even for brand new!

Well, It was slightly less and it needed some attention, the casing was buggered so I got to work with a GRP kit and it's as good as new now.....

 i do know you can just leave a good dwell time and extract well. but on the time when something needs a bit more i would like a machine i think.

 i have seen the envirodri on fleabay but its a grand, this is what got me thinking of the rotary option.
 
i need to update my hwe system first.

A Sebo Duo's better than nothing mate! In fact, it's only ever under-rated by people who have beefier CRB machines... But ultimately, a Sebo Duo does the job on domestic work!

A slow speed rotary is fine, used a victor 17" for years. Had a brush and a drive block and still use for bonnet cleaning. They are a adaptable bit of kit because they have so many uses including hard floor cleaning. I still prefer CRB because of its action. Agree with others though a grandi groomer does most of the time, CRB for big jobs and mingers.

It is the contra rotating brush action that  give you an action that cannot be achieved with a rake or rotary.
I have converted a few people that have been convinced that it will not make any difference and are now among the converted.
Yes on some jobs I do not carry in the envirodri but it does make a massive difference to the results.

i use a numatic npr1515 (150 rpm) rotary machine with nylon shampoo brush and it is now a ESSENTIAL bit of my cleaning kit. Have an oreck for smaller areas if needed but the big rotarys are my fav. prespray and agitation is essentially the clean so get the best you can

I have a guy who works for me down South and uses a twin vac portable when our TM isn't available. We got him an Envirodri recently and the difference it has made to his results and the comments we recieve back from the customers well and truly justifies the cost.
