Morning Guys,

Does any one have a mix for hydrogen peroxide and ammonia for cleaning fringes and the strengths of the chemicals (3%, 10% etc)? I tend to use an enzyme spray for this with great results but every now and then I get something that needs something different.

white vinegar 1 to 3 parts water will keep em nice and white, without the risk

An interesting thread. I rarely come across rug fringes and have always wondered what is the best way to clean them. What is the actual cleaning process that you use?

Normally I apply an enzyme detergent by brush and they instantly whiten, Then all I do is remove with the hand tool. But sometimes nothing seems to work (even a pressure washer!) so I am trying to work out something with Hydrogen Peroxide and Ammonia.

I use hydrogen peroxide @ 18% but have upto 35% if I need it 
Paint it on with a paint brush,  dry with hairdryer
Job done

That is just what I wanted to know. (Not the bit about you wanting to drive an MR2 and the Abba cd´s).

Thats me sorted for getting orange stains out of wool/silk carpets!!

The best product I have used for whitening rug fringes was Sta-Pro`s
Stay-White.
A reducing bleach can be just as effective,Chem-Spec do a variety of
Products for fringes.
Like Mark A`Corn writes all fringes ar`nt meant to be white.
Some are a really fawn colour when new,some more cream.Bleach
Them paper white and you could have a claim on your hands.
