Threaded rod and hose supports. Gardiners sourced the bits yonks ago but as far as I'm aware they don't do this anymore?
The guy who did the post - MrH still posts on Nats forum I believe. Probably get the rod from B&Q, the supports I'm not sure about but a quick Google should bring them up. Maybe Dualpumps.co.uk

Used mine this morning - not bad. Still had to get the ladders out to unblock an S bend of roots and grass.

I used to use a 3600W vac and to be honest it would rarely clear an S bend if chogged with roots and mud.

Got mine from lidls yesterday plus all this bits n bobs from B Q and wickes
Tried it on my own small gutters yesterday evening, what i found is that the 50mm gooseneck was too large,so today got a 50mm to 32mm reducer and used 32mm pipe, in old money thats 1 and a quarter inch wastepipe.
Just tried it now and it works a treat.

yeah smaller pipe = more suction surely! good thinking. but it you go too small it would get clogged up though no?

Hydrophyl is right. There isn't a vac that will clear every blockage, especially a tough weed in a downpipe.

Fortunately these are quite rare but I still have ladders just in case ....

... and then theres the customer who asks you to "just pop up and fix the downpipe" that has come out of it's housing.

I'm happy with most of these jobs. But I know my limitations. If I don't like the look of it I get my mate the roofer to do it
