Getting Customer

Hi all.

Was just wondering how you get most of your customers?
I have a pressure washing business.
I know word of mouth is key but what else do you do.
Where is best to adverise for free and do you think leaflet drops work?

The way to push the pressure washing would be to have the foot in the door doing windows first, then carpets. You are then positioned to 'preach to the choir' ( Its 6 times easier to sell to an existing custy than to a new one - fact ) as it were with regards to pressure washing. A certain section or demographic of society have given pressure washing a bad name. ( re-sanding with beach sand while the thing is still soaking for the love of God!!!) I'm not giving away my secret sauce but I will be pushing pressure washing next Feb/March in a big way. Its too late now in the year IMO for a newbie. I have a Honda 6.5 HP, 150 Bar that I use most days but I would'nt market that. I have my eye on a Zeta with a whirl away and I want to do it right, next year.

How do you manage to clean with that size a machine ?
Im presuming you dont use a fsc at the moment. :D

Ha! I just meant in terms of marketing. I use the jet washer for cleaning out side entrances, rinsing gutters, brick cleaning, facades or whatever else where applicable. But I said I had my eye on the Zeta (21lm, 19hp) Its on the Malcleanse website with the Lombardini engine. Its a savage. Be like wrestling a bad badger, I'd say. But I'd need to market that or its only gonna gather dust. I wouldn't push what I'm using now, thats only for my own discretion. Any self respecting w/c should have a washer on the rig.

Search Engines.
Social Networks.
Word of mouth.
Van Signwriting.
Emails.
Recommendations from doing the best job possible everytime.

Not by using someone elses images of work on a Smartseal website.  ;D
