pressure washing slurry
« on: July 05, 2011, 10:31:19 pm »
Hello
Was wondering if any you more experienced guys could give me an idea of how you cope with the slurry, Ive only up to now done very small jobs so been able  to get it into gulleys, just wondering how to deal with it on bigger jobs. any help would be greatly appreciated.

 hi
i bought a floor tool for my gutter vac and suck it up. it does speed up the job. we where finding we where chasing slurry around for as long as we where cleaning the surface.

we stop now as soon as we have a puddle forming and sort it out before firing up the pw's again.

you say you pour slurry doen the gullies, watch this as rain water and even 4 inch waste can block up, there is a lot of silt and mud in it.

 cheers

  hi

mines an omnipole and got there floor tool for it. but yeh any wet vac should do it. must be heavy duty as the slurry is heavy to lift. also need at least 80 litre otherwise you will be emptying it every 60 seconds.

i pour it on the flower beds if poss unless been using hypo. then it has to go down the drain but i have drain cover to sieve the worst solids out.

 cheers

You can fit our wet vacs with nylon filter sacks these then collect all the slurry over a couple of mm's and the water drains directly into the wet vac.  Alternatively you can filter the water through a hessian sack when empotying the wet vac and simply dispose of the larger stuff into rubble sacks.
